Currently often in use, I've decided to upgrade this component from the status of "flaky" to the status of "pretty darn good". Now you can have the functionality of a comboselect box in your web page, if you really need it. The only outstanding issue is that keyboard scrolling of options when the option list is visible doesn't scroll the actual options div -- so whilst the selected row move to the correct position, it is not maintained in a viewable state. Anyone with a handy js/dhtml script trick is welcome to put in some input here. Since 99% of users will just use the mouse to select, this is not a show-stopper, it's just not the expected behaviour for a keyboard jockey. |
