Sometimes it is necessary to convert the format of images because some formats are more appropriate for certain purposes.
This class provides a flexible solution for image conversion between the formats JPEG, GIF, PNG and WBMP, but also supports converting images from any of those formats into a Flash movie, making it more difficult for others to retrieve the images in the original format.

Converting images between formats may be useful for Web applications because each image format has advantages and disadvantages depending on the applications purpose.
With JPEG you can reduce the quality to limit the file size. With GIF you can make it transparent or generate animations. With PNG you can avoid GIF color model restrictions. With SWF you can protect your image or make a presentation movie.
This class can perform several types of image format conversions.
It can read images in the following formats using the PHP GD library support: JPEG, GIF, PNG and WBMP.
It can save the converted images in same formats and also in the SWF format using the PHP Ming extension if available.
