Another option for Save and continue button is like Joomla backend style:
Apply -> save but don't close the form.
Save -> Save and close the form.

Yes, that is another option for labeling the buttons, despite the functionality would be the same.

Note that no matter what the default labels the buttons would have, applications may always change them.
