Cool Sky really is the best theme and Guilherme is the superior designer. I made a reasonable suggestion to InterGraphicDESIGNS 10 days ago and they still haven't taken any action besides saying "Thanks for your feedback. We are actually evaluating all the users comments in order to adjust and improve the design for this second turn." and here we are at the eve of the second turn voting and they haven't made any changes that I can see.

I made a small suggestion to Guilherme that he could have just passed up and I still would have voted for him but instead he did it and then posted to let me know he had done it and now Cool Sky is definitely getting my vote.

Hey buddy, nice to hear from you.

I'm now looking at the new design and the first thing that stands out to me is how *fantastic* the new shaded gradient bars are. The smooth gradients lend a new depth to the page and makes it look a lot more three-dimensional and classy. It's ridiculously good looking, and this is just looking at the "Empty Page" so far.

On to the "Home Page", I see that you've cleaned it up even more, it looks even more incredible than last time. The new shaded bars really make the page a lot deeper.

As for "Categories Page", it looks like you've made it now align all entries along a fixed grid. I'm not sure if it did that before too, but I like it. Together with the big, blue captions, the grid helps the eye know exactly where to expect a new entry.

I'll skip down to the "Last entries page" since I want to end on a more significant page. As for the last entries, it benefits greatly from the changes you've made, the design is fantastic!

And lastly, the "Package Page", I see that you've added dotted lines underneath each element, which is absolutely DELICIOUS, it helps separate the entries even more than the previous version where only the alternating background separated the entries. Scrolling through the entire page, with its MASSIVE amount of information is extremely readable thanks to these changes. It was a bit hard in the previous version, but I put that down to the massive amount of text. However, you've really gone above and beyond in this change, and the page reads extremely easily.

Superb job!

-- Now, an appeal to the people: Have you got a brain? Have you got eyes? Do you know what good design is? Vote for Cool Sky. End of Public Service Announcement. --

By the way, I'm going to contact PHP classes about the "cheating". See the page:

http://www.phpclasses.org/design/turn/2

The designs are always listed in this order, which favors InterGraphicDESIGNS_01 before the voting has even started.

The order they are listed should be randomized on every page load!

I hope others follow suit and send off an email, this is unacceptable.

They can be reached at:

Here's the email I sent off:

Hi,

I'm concerned about the fact that you are favoring InterGraphicDESIGNS_01 before the voting has even started.

It's statically listed at the top of the page, which WILL influence some voters to think that that design is leading, and thus be more likely to be influenced by herd mentality, overvalue that design, and place their vote for it without having evaluated both designs equally.

Likewise, by being placed at the top, lazy voters will be more likely to pick that design.

Are you interested in a fair competition? If so, hurry to add a rand() function to the listing page to make the order random on each page load.

I'll be thoroughly disappointed in you if you allow this to go on.

Best Regards,
XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX

Hello Richard!
Nice to hear from you.
Thanks for your comment. I am glad you like it.
I think it was important to make some changed based on users feedbacks, trying to achieve the best solution for all who uses PHP Classes.
As you can see, I fixed that problem in 1024x768 and the site now is even usable in 800x600 (yeah, some menus will have 2 lines, but it is still possible to see all the content of it).
Best regards,
Guilherme

Hey pulseforce!
Nice to hear from you again. I love all the comments you posted!
I am really glad you like it. I tryed to achieve something that would fit most of PHP Classes users needs, adjusting it based on the feedbacks.
I tested all the pages in Firefox and IE and most of them are working basicly the same.
Thanks for that "e-mail campaign" too. I was wondering the same thing in the first turn, when my proposal was the last one in the list. But I still got second place, even being there. I think Manuel Lemos will have such a headache if people send him e-mails, so maybe all could just post here. I am sure he will read it. :)
Best regards and thanks again,
Guilherme

Hey Roberto. Yeah, it is a bit harder when you have to make it all by yourself. But I think I did achieve an acceptable, modern and professional proposal. By the way, I tested it on a few browsers and all went fine. I hope you like it.
I am looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards, Guilherme

I agree alot of people will vote for the one that is on the top so it should be randomized to make it more fair.

I really really hope this one wins too. Not just because it's a really good design, but also because the other one is a mess. A pretty one, but still a mess :-)
