explanation?

As a beginner in this area, I would like to understand what this class does. If I was to run this using for example the docbook dtd, it would generate a php class that would conform to that dtd. But then how do I implement that class to produce dtd compliant documents? Or am I way off target on the usage of the class?

I wish I knew how to use this too.... 5 years later!!
