Metabase works with many types of databases in Linux. What type of database you want to use?

There is MS Access support in PHP under Linux using ODBC driver for instance from EasySoft.

You need to compile PHP ODBC driver on Linux.

I need to insert and update the data in the table inside the mdb file in linux using unixODBC. Is it possible to do that.
If so how can I achieve this.

Sure, just install the Microsoft Access ODBC driver from EasySoft.

Thanks for that but my requirement is my mdb file resides in linux itself without any sharing from windows as we don't have any windows hosting.

Using ODBC Microsoft Access on Linux does not require any Windows access.
