I have this change on header.php file

// $class_dir = '../class';
$class_dir = 'C:\barcode\class';

I also tried
$class_dir = 'C:/barcode/class';


But it is not working...

any ideas?

I suggest you to download a free barcode scanner first to have a try.There are so many companies sell barcode scanners nowadays. Maybe, you can buy one online. I have brought one from KEEPAUTOMATION and it works well.
