This class can store and retrieve configuration options in XML files.
It can create XML files with a list of one or more configuration option values associated to option names.
The class can also open and parse previously created XML configuration files and retrieve the option values.
The class uses file locks to prevent file corruption caused by eventual simultaneous access to the XML configuration files.
