Random ad image list rotator

This is a simple class that can be used to create ads that rotate according to a random order.

The class takes an array of image files name strings as parameter but it could also be HTML tags for rich media ads.

Then it shuffles the numbers assigned to each ad array position in a way that the shuffled array does not contain repeated ad numbers.
It displays randomized images from a group of specified images, without repetition.

Finally the class can return a new array of ads sorted by order determined by the shuffled ad numbers array. The returned array can be used to display one or more ads in the same page.

Get the location of an IP address with the hostip

This class can be used to determine the geographic location of an IP address using the hostip.info Web services.

The class is guaranteed to work with PHP version 4.2 and PHP 5.2. There is some important information in the index.php file that gives hints to troubleshoot problems.

It accesses the hostip.info Web services API site passing a given host IP address as query parameter.

The class retrieves and parses the response to return the country, the city, and the latitude and longitude coordinates of the specified host.

Keep track of site visits and link clicks

This class can be used to keep track of the visits the links that are clicked on pages of a site.

It uses Javascript code to collect information about site visitors and the intercept the links that they click.

The collected information is sent to a PHP script that uses the class to record the information on a MySQL database for posterior statistical processing.

The class can keep track of unique visitors using PHP sessions. It also records the information about the browsers that are used and referral page URL.

It also keeps track of the links that are clicked including the URL and the text of the link. Clicks on ads from Google AdSense and Yahoo Publisher Network are recorded in a separate table.

Show random ads using images from a directory

This class can show random advertising images from a list of images files retrieved from a given directory.

The class lists the GIF and JPEG images of a given directory, picks one image file randomly and generates HTML tags to display that image.
