Browse and edit MySQL results like MS Access

This class displays results of sql statements in a browseable and editable format akin to a excel or Access. Easy, editable displays of columnar data.

Version 4.1 adds database abstraction via the PEAR DB class and in-class filtering methods. Please review the README. Including Multiple table SQL statements and identical field names has required some important modifications. The following features are included:

Columns have headers that allow sort order to be changed by clicking on them

Edit and save a paragraph of text in an HTML page

This class can be used to edit and save a paragraph of text in an HTML page.

It associates the necessary Javascript event handling code to turn a given paragraph in an HTML page into editable text when the user clicks on it.

When the user finishes editing the generated Javascript submit the paragraph text to the Web server using AJAX request so it can be saved.

This class can display database query results in a HTML table.

It can execute a given SQL query with PEAR DB package and displays the results in a HTML table split in pages of a limited number of records.

The listing may have links to edit, delete, add, filter database records, and browse other listing pages.

This class can be used to view and edit MySQL database table records.

It can retrieve records of MySQL database tables and display the record field values along with links to change the record values or even delete the records.

Edit data in an HTML table using AJAX

This class can be used to edit data in the cells of an HTML table using AJAX to save the changed cell values without reloading the current page.

It takes an bi-dimensional array as parameter to define the contents of the cells of the table to be edited. Then it generates the table HTML with the necessary JavaScript code to edit the cell contents.

The user may edit the cells by clicking on them. The cell is turned into a text input so the user can alter the cell contents with the keyboard. If you are using AdvATE then you can specify the type of input you want returned: text, textarea, select, radio, and checkboxes. For the latter three, you are able to specify the inputs and values to be presented to the user.

When the cell editing is finished, the data is saved using AJAX to send to the server the new cell value and the respective table row and column number.
