This class is meant to compose and serve multiple pages that replace each other in a single HTTP request.

It uses the MIME content type multipart/x-mixed-replace content type to keep the connection open. Only works in browsers that support that content type, obviously. This does not include MS Explorer.

It can send multiple pages that replace each other even with different content types. It can iterate over a set of pages that are deliver one after the other waiting a given interval period.

It can be used to show the progress of lengthy tasks or exhibit animations and slideshows.

This class can be used to take screenshots of Web site pages using Internet Explorer.

It can command an instance of the Internet Explorer running on the same Windows machine to make it open a given Web page.

Several aspects of Internet Explorer can be controlled like whether its window will be visible and resizable, show the status, address bars and tool bars, and make the browser occupy the full screen.

The class can grab an image the whole desktop screen or just the Internet Explorer window.

The grabbed image can be saved to a given file in the PNG format (or GIF/JPEG if required).

Browse server side directories and files

This class can be used to browse the structure of server side directories and files.

It can open a given server side directory and retrieve the list of files and the of directories and store them separate class variables.

For each file or directory, it retrieves the name, last modification date, permissions and owner. For files it also retrieves the file size.

The list of directories is always sorted by name. The lists of files can be sorted by name, file size, permissions, last modification date or owner.

Web based manager to browse the server file system

This class implements a Web based file manager user interface to browse the structure of web servers file system.

On Mozilla and Internet Explorer a context menu opens up on clicking the right mouse button on a listed file or folder. With Opera there is a button which opens the menu. With Konqueror it brought up with a left mouse button click.

The menu allows you to execute the following actions on files: upload, download, create, edit, copy, move or rename and delete. With directories it allows you to execute these actions: create, move or rename and delete.

You can also enter PHP script in a textarea to execute it on the server.

Be careful when using this tool as it is very powerful and should only be accessible to Web site administrators.
