This class is a plug-in for the Forms Generation and Validation class that turns a textarea input in a HTML editor.

Xinha is a fork of the HtmlArea JavaScript library. HtmlArea can generate HTML editors with support for many rich editing features like tables and spell-checking.

This plug-in makes the Xinha enhanced input be treated like a normal textarea input, so applications can retrieve and validate the input value like with any other input managed by the forms class.

This class can be used to send messages with attached files and embedded images.

It is an enhanced version of Leo West's libMail class, forked from the version also enhanced by Setec Astronomy.

The class is a wrapper around the PHP mail() function, which provides an interface to compose and send e-mail messages with attachments.

This version adds support for multipart/alternative parts to allow sending HTML messages with alternative text parts in the same message.

It also supports multipart/related parts to embed images in HTML messages, thus avoiding the need to reference images loaded from remote Web servers.

Fork of the IS layout template engine

This is a fork of the IS Layout template engine class

It fixes several bugs, a substantially smaller memory footprint (necessary because there seems to be some kind of problem with regular expression replacement), and some additional capabilities.

Documentation can be generated from the class source code using the supplied script to run phpdoc.

All the new code is being released under the GPL.

This class is officially compatible with PHP 5.

1.2 allows nested replacement blocks.
1.3 allows qualified replacement values if you're explicitly naming replacement blocks.

Create and control Unix daemon processes

This package provides a base class that can create and manage daemon processes on Linux or other Unix-like systems.

This base class can fork the current process and store the child process identifier in a pid file. The forked process enters an infinite loop executing its job until it receives a termination signal.

The base class is not useful by itself. It needs to be derived to implement daemon job as a function of the sub-class. A daemon job subclass is provided as an example.

A class to implement multi-threaded applications

Wrapper around the pcntl_fork() stuff, with a API set like Java language.
Practical usage is done by extending this class, and re-defining the run() method.
This way PHP developers can enclose logic into a class that extends PHP_Fork, then execute the start() method that forks a child process.
Communications with the forked process is ensured by using a Shared Memory Segment; by using a user-defined signal and this shared memory developers can access to child process methods that returns a serializable variable.

The shared variable space can be accessed with the tho methods:
o void setVariable($name, $value)
o mixed getVariable($name)

$name must be a valid PHP variable name;
$value must be a variable or a serializable object.
Resources (db connections, streams, etc.) cannot be serialized and so they're not correctly handled.

Only runs on *NIX systems, because Windows lacks of the needed pcntl ext.

This class implements a Web server written in pure PHP.

It starts listening to TCP connections on a given IP address and port.

When a client browser connects to the specified port, the class handles the connection request, forks a new process to retrieve request data, parse the request, and generates the response.

Currently it can handle requests for static files or requests to be handled by PHP scripts.

The class can write extensive debugging output to a log file.

Database driven PHP job scheduler like cron

This package can be used to schedule the execution of task like the cron program.

First it starts a daemon process using Luca Mariano's PHP fork class to make the cron daemon script run like a standalone program.

It can parse a crontab file with Mick Sear's cron parser class and extract the job scheduling definitions into a MySQL database table.

When it is time to run a scheduled job, it executes the job command in the crontab definition as PHP code as a separate process.

The output of the job PHP code is also stored in a database table.
