Calculate the sunrise and sunset time of any place

This class contains methods for calculating the sunrise and sunset for any day, for any zenith (angle at which the sun is said to rise or set) and any place in the world given its latitude and longitude coordinates.

Please note that the algorithm used for the calculations are not mine. The algorithm was taken from http://williams.best.vwh.net/sunrise_sunset_algorithm.htm (without permission). There are many algorithms for calculating sunrise/sunset, but this was the simplest and explained in an easy to understand manner.

This class can be used the to calculate the time of sunrise and sunsite of any place in the world.

It takes the latitude and longitude coordinates of a place as well its timezone offset and calculates the sunrise and sunset time for today.

The calculations also consider daylight savings time adjustments.

This class calculates sunrise and/or sunset for specific timezone, latitude and longitude.

Shows the location of a host in a world map.

Given an IP or a Hostname, it returns information about the country, latitude and longitude of the geographic location of the host on the world. It also shows a map image marking the location. This map can ve viewed perfectly even if your server doesn't have GD.

This class interfaces with the NetGeo service to determine the geographic location of a given IP address or host name.

It is also capable of calculating the distance between any to locations in the world given their longitude and latitude coordinates.

Get coordinates of locations with geocode services

This package can be used to get the geographic coordinates of locations using geocoding Web services.

There is a base class that provides a common API to access Web services that can analyze and determine the definition of a world location and return the associated latitude and longitude.

There is one function that takes as parameters the country name, location zip code and optionally the city and state. That function returns an array with the latitude, longitude of the location or an error message.

Currently, there are implementation classes that can access geocoding Web services of Yahoo, Google and Worldkit.
