CAPTCHA validation using animated math expressions

This class can be used to perform CAPTCHA validation presenting to the users simple mathematical expressions as a sequence of animated pictures to make it difficult for robots to pass a form being validated.

It generates an animated GIF image that displays a mathematical expression of a simple operation between two random numbers, like sum, subtraction and multiplication.

The numbers and the operation are stored in session variables for posterior verification.

This class generates an image with random text to verify that a form was submitted by a real human being.

It adds some visual elements that are meant to confuse OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software, thus making it very difficult for robot scripts to determine the actual text that is displayed in the generated image.

This is class can be used as a tool for optical character recognition.

It can recognize text in monochrome graphical images after a training phase. The training phase is necessary to let the class build recognition data structures from images that have known characters.

The training data structures are used during the recognition process to attempt to identify text in real images using the corner algorithm.

Generate images to test whether the user is human

This class is meant to generate CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing to tell Computers from Humans Apart) images to test whether the user accessing a site is a real human or an automatic script.

The class generate an image with a random key text string printed on it mixed with some noise made of random text characters or line grid.

The image is meant to be used in a form so the user reads the key text in the image and must enter it to prove that is a real human.

The form also passes an hidden field that contains a public key that is used when the form is submitted to the server to verify whether the key text on the image matches what the user entered.
