This class is meant to parse the header of Shockwave Flash animation files (.swf) to extract metadata information like the width and height of animation, compression status and uncompressed size, frame rate and total number of frames.

This class parses Flash files using only PHP code, so no special extension is necessary.

Supports both, compressed and uncompressed SWF Flash movies

Get geographical information of an IP address

This class can get geographical information of an IP address using the geoPlugin Web service.

It takes a given IP address and sends a request to the geoPlugin Web services server to obtain the geographic location associated to the IP address.

The class also retrieves location currency name and conversion rate relatively to a given base currency. This can be used to convert a given amount of money to the local currency.

It can also retrieve locations near a place given its latitude and longitude coordinates.

It outputs a form to enter the values of the amount of a loan, the interest rate, and the length in years of the loan.

- Total interest paid over the life of the loan

- Total number of monthly payments

- The monthly payment

It opens a Flash video file and parses its contents to retrieve details about the video stream it contains.

AJAX based star rating system

This package can be used to implement a star rating system that uses AJAX to update the average rate without reloading the rate page after a user has voted.

It can display the current average rating between 1 to 10 using star icon images.

A new rating submitted by an user is sent to the server using an AJAX request. The server returns the updated rating average and the star icon images change to the new rating value.

Rate content and update star ratings using AJAX

It displays the current content rating level by the number of starts from 1 to 5.
An user can submit his own rating by clicking on the respective star.
When a new rating is submitted, an AJAX request is triggered to send the user rating.
