Build regular expressions programmatically

This class can be used to build regular expressions programmatically.

It provides clearly named functions to add each part of a regular expression, such as matching the beginning or end of the text, match a range of characters, match any text, match a portion of text multiple times, capture a portion of the text, etc..

The resulting regular expression can be applied on a given text string to match.

Extract data from text using regular expressions

This class can be used to extract data from text using regular expression patterns.

It takes an array of regular expressions that define the patterns to match and extract data.

An entry of the expressions array may be another array that defines patterns of repetitive sections that must be iterated to extract data from each of the repeated sections, like for instance HTML tables with sections of the rows of cell data.

The extracted data patterns is returned in associative arrays.

Validation with non-regular expression patterns

This class is meant to validate text strings using patterns that are defined with a simple syntax that is not based on regular expressions.

Here are a few examples of validation patterns:

"2N 5L" = 2Numbers 1Whitespace 5Letters e.g.: "12 ABCDE"
"2-5N 5L" = 2-5Numbers 1Whitespace 5Letters e.g.: "1234 ABCDE"

"2N:2N:2N" would match on "12:35:24" for checking time
"2N.2N.4N" would match on "01.01.2004" for checking date

This package includes sub-classes to do more specific validations like verifying address data patterns.

Template engine that replaces regular expression

This class is a simple template engine based on replacing regular expressions.

It reads template files using the PHP include function to make any PHP in the template file be executed. Then it searches the resulting included file for template placeholders.

It uses regular expressions to match each of the input parameters. The placeholders that are found are replaced by the respective parameter values.
