FTP client in pure PHP

This is a FTP client class written in PHP, so it does not need any special FTP extensions to work.

The class supports passive and active FTP connections. To work with active connection, there is a special sub-class that uses the PHP sockets extension.

The class can:

- Establish connections within a configured timeout value and automatically authenticate
- Output connection debug information
- Retrieve the FTP protocol features supported by the server
- Change the current directory
- Retrieve directory listings
- Parse the directory listing entry attributes
- Check whether a given file or a directory exists
- Retrieve the size of files, the files timestamp
- Choose the transfer type between ASCII and binary
- Set the permissions mask for files copied to the local server
- Send and receive files
- Resume download from a given file position offset
- Create and remove directories
- Rename, delete and change the permissions of files

Implement TCP/IP client and servers

This package can be use to implement generic TCP/IP clients and servers.

It can create client and server sockets for connections using TCP and UDP protocols under IPv4, IPv6 and UNIX domain.

The client class can establish connections to a given address and port, send and retrieve data.

The server class can accept connections to a given local port.

There are also classes for resolving host names, parsing URLs and establishing HTTP connections.

This class can be used to implement TCP server handling connections to from multiple clients to multiple sockets.

It can listen to TCP connections coming from multiple IP addresses and multiple ports.

This starts a loop that handles socket events and calls optional callback functions that may be used by applications to implement TCP servers.

File based chatting

This class let the users chat with other users of the domain without using sockets programming or custom TCP/IP protocols for its communication.

It still has the capabilities of other chat programms like chat room creation, changing to another room, etc..

This is a flat file based chatting class. It uses a MySQL database to store information about the chat users and rooms.

This package is meant to provide a means to build generic socket based networking servers.

Actually it is made of two classes: one for generic socket connection servers and one specialized in handling TCP socket connections.

The class lets developers specify callback functions that are invoked when the different socket server events happen like when a connection requested, a connection is accepted, a connection is closed, etc..

Generic TCP/IP client using sockets

This class can be used to implement TCP/IP clients using socket connections.

It can establish persistent and non-persistent connections to a server with a given IP address and port. The connection timeout period is configurable.

It can send and receive data from the server. The server response can be retrieved line by line or in data chunks of variable size.

The class can verify whether the connection is still valid before attempting to retrieve the server response.
