Generate and validate CAPTCHA verification images

This package can be used to generate and validate CAPTCHA validation images.

It can create an image in the PNG format displaying a random text. The text is stored in a session variable for later verification.

The class can also generate HTML to display the verification image and the inputs of a form on which the user must type the text in the image.

The class can verify whether the submitted form input text matches the text in the image.

All actions are recorded in a log stored as a class variable.

Generate forms that prevent submission by robots

This class can be generate forms that prevent submission by spam robots without requiring human users to enter special values.

It generates hidden inputs for forms that have special values that are verified on the server after the form is submitted to eventually detect whether the form was sent by a spam robot.

The class can generate an hidden input that contains an encoded value of the user browser, user computer IP address and the current time.

The class verifies whether these browser name and IP address are still the same, and also whether the form is being submitted by a normal time interval after it was create, like when it is submitted by a real human user.

The class also generates a text input that are invisible for the user. A human user would not fill this input. If the input is submitted with a value, it was certainly a robot.

When the class detects a situation that demonstrates the form was submitted by a robot, the application should not accept the form submission.

This class can be used to detect spam in text messages using Bayesian techniques.

It analyzes the text words in terms of n-grams in a way that is idiom independent.

It can be trained to progressively distinguish what is spam and what is not spam by detecting patterns in training samples. Training data is stored in a MySQL database.

Prevent robot spamming through web forms

This class can be used to make it difficult for robots to write spam in forums, contact forms etc. It uses a form parameter with a 'random' hash that is used in both the form page and de processing page. It can be used in links and forms.
The links or forms that process the hashed parameters can verify the hash and only allow to proceed if the hash of the current date matches the followed URL hash parameter. This may help preventing that robots to spam forums, guestbooks and blogs.

This class can automatically classify text messages to determine whether or not their are considered to be spam.

It can build a knowledge base of known text expressions that can be looked up later to evaluate a factor that expresses the probability of a given text to be spam.

This class could be used in Web mail applications or even in less obvious applications like forums and guest books, acting like an semi-automatic moderator.
