Suggest corrected spelling text in pure PHP

This class can be used to suggest the correct spelling of text similar to Google "Did you mean" but based on a pure PHP implementation of Peter Norvig correct spelling suggestion algorithm.

It takes a given word and returns a suggestion of the probable correct spelling of the word.

The class can build a dictionary with correctly spelled words from a training text document. The dictionary can be stored in a cache file by serializing the dictionary array.

A sample training text document can be obtained from Peter Norvig site.

Spell check texts with a MySQL table as dictionary

This class can be used to check the spelling of text.

It uses a MySQL database table to store the dictionary of valid words.

It can process a text and return all words that seem to be wrong. It may also highlight the wrong words using HTML tags to change the presentation style of the words to be highlighted.

For wrong words it may also provide a list of suggestions of words with similar sounding using the soundex algorithm.

Calculate and spell the timespan between two dates

This class can calculate the time span between dates, not just in numbers but also spell it in a more natural was using words like this: "1 year, 6 months and 12 days".

This class is very useful when you need to present to the users how much time have passed since a past event in an easy to understand way.

The class returns the difference of time between two given dates or between a given date and the current system date.

Currently, it can spell the computed time difference in four languages: English, German (thanks to "Jürgen Fehr" and "jo t"), French (thanks to Benoit Dausse) or Spanish, which is the default. The class is designed to easily be extended to support other idioms.

This class is meant to spell quantity numbers using brazilian portuguese words.

The idea of the class is inspired in a similar class by another developer english that spells numbers using english words.

The class can optionally capitalize the initials and the portuguese words that represent the given number.

Text spell checking based only in PHP code

This class is meant to check the spelling of texts using only base PHP commands, thus not using any special purpose extension.

It uses a dictionary text file named as its spelling knowledge base.

For greater performance the class uses the dictionary words (currently almost 40,000) to build a dynamic hashed lookup table.

The class can also provide suggestions for the misspelled words that are found.

The dictionary file can be updated to include any missing words.
