Parse header of Flash files to extract metadata

This class is meant to parse the header of Shockwave Flash animation files (.swf) to extract metadata information like the width and height of animation, compression status and uncompressed size, frame rate and total number of frames.

This class parses Flash files using only PHP code, so no special extension is necessary.

Supports both, compressed and uncompressed SWF Flash movies

With JPEG you can reduce the quality to limit the file size. With GIF you can make it transparent or generate animations. With PNG you can avoid GIF color model restrictions. With SWF you can protect your image or make a presentation movie.

This class can perform several types of image format conversions.

It can read images in the following formats using the PHP GD library support: JPEG, GIF, PNG and WBMP.

It can save the converted images in same formats and also in the SWF format using the PHP Ming extension if available.

antiquated - made in 2002

antiquated, non reviewd version - no updates since 2002. flash can now load images interactive, so no need to use it anymore. Ming can only convert non-progressiv jpg to swf. with this tiny class you can generate (depending on your gd-version) swf from any jpg,gif,png.
