Stream wrapper to read and write MS Excel files

This class implements a stream handler interface to read and write Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files in the XLS format.

XLS files may be read and written using PHP fopen, fread or fwrite, or any other PHP functions that can access to streams.

The file name has the format xlsfile://path/to/spreadsheet.xls where /path/to/spreadsheet.xls is the path of the actual spreadsheet file to be read or written.

To create a XLS file just pass a serialized array of spreadsheet row arrays that associate the column names with their values.

In the current version the class does not process the data read from a XLS file. Instead it just returns the raw XLS file data as is.

This class requires at least PHP 4.3.0 as that is the version when stream handling support was introduced in PHP.

Export SQL query results to Excel files with ADODB

This class can be used to generate Excel files in the XLS format from database query results.

This is an altered version of of the SQL 2 Excel class, originally provided by Dzaiacuck, that uses ADODB API instead of MySQL. It extends the GeraExcel class to generate Excel files from the results of execution of an SQL query.

It takes an SQL query string and the array of titles of columns of the Excel spreadsheet file to be generated.

This package is meant to export spreadsheet information in the Excel XLS format.

It consists in a base class that is capable of generating the contents of an XLS file given the values of the spreadsheet cells. There is also a sub-class that can query a MySQL database and use the base class to generate the contents of XLS file with the information of the query result set.

The class code and comments are in Portuguese.

Generate simple MS Excel files (xls).

This project includes some classes which are used to generate very simple MS Excel file (xls) via PHP. The generated xls file can be obtained by web as a stream file or can be written under $default_dir path. It has very simple usage to generate xls file from a select query using mysql, pgsql, oci8 databases.
Limitation:
- Max character size of a text(label) cell is 255
( due to MS Excel 5.0 Binary File Format definition )
