Another programming language, that is going to save us from ourselves, oh boy, just what was needed.
It seems like every so often, a group of under-utilized developers, trots out another programming language. Instead of working to make PHP a better language, they veer off on their own, but make it usable only in some other environment that the rest of us cannot get to.
Sorry, but I just cannot get excited about what they did, how they did it, and how they avoided doing the right thing for the rest of the PHP development community.

The problem is that to contribute to PHP is a painful bureaucratic process that often does not lead anywhere.
Facebook already expressed interest to integrate their efforts in core PHP but there are always core developers than moan and object. So your complaints may be directed better at those core developers.
