Title: Remote Full Stack WordPress Developer

Summary:Our company seeks an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our remote team! You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating custom WordPress themes and plugins.

- Ability to build custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Ability to convert a comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Proficiency with WooCommerce and/or other e-commerce plugins and platforms
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
- Strong skills for PHP back-end development
- Ability to create and manage libraries to build efficiencies
- Proficiency working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspect, etc.
- Proficiency working with CSS changes and their implications to ensure consistent style across top platforms and browsers
- Understanding of React and Node
- Understanding of MYSQL and ability to migrate from system to system
- Advanced expertise with Google Developer tools, such as Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console

Additional knowledge of the following programs is preferred:

- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Ability to problem-solve and make design decisions
- Strong written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create estimates and perform tasks within project scope and budget
- Ability to train clients on how to use WordPress to manipulate the site, add content, and whatever else the client needs to know to manage their website

Job Responsibilities:

- Program and implement custom features and functionality to meet client needs
- Establish and assist with the website’s architecture
- Ensure high-performance and availability and manage all technical aspects of the CMS
- Work together with professional web designers and turn the design into a custom theme
- Program plugins if needed to achieve the desired functionality
- Extend, support, and maintain existing websites
- Review and analyze client sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted or revised
- Find, follow, recommend, and implement general web best-practices that improve site performance and engagement
- Provide clients with search engine optimization (SEO) suggestions and implementations
