| Description: | Winninghunter.com, a product research platform for e-commerce entrepreneurs, seeks a remote, experienced Senior PHP Software Engineer specializing in Laravel. As a Senior PHP Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our cutting-edge platform that empowers marketers & businesses to discover, and repurpose, their workflow. You'll work in a collaborative environment on a small, autonomous team, where you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact. Winninghunter’s users get insight into data about other advertisers’ spending & competitors’ revenue. Data was made available because of some clever engineering. Responsibilities: - Leverage your deep expertise in PHP and Laravel to architect and develop robust, scalable software applications. - Write clean, maintainable, well-tested PHP code adhering to best practices. - Integrate with third-party APIs and services to expand our platform's capabilities. - Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies. - Break down large, multi-week projects into manageable tasks and milestones. - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, articulating complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely. - Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability. - Identify, prioritize, and address technical debt in legacy codebases while minimizing disruption to existing functionality. - Drive product innovation through the implementation of new features and improvements. Qualifications: - 8+ years of professional experience in full-time software engineering or PHP development, with a strong focus on object-oriented programming and design patterns. - USA or Europe Based - Extensive expertise in the Laravel framework. - High proficiency in SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) - Deep understanding of the PHP ecosystem, libraries, tools, and best practices. - Experience with API design, development, and integration technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs, API gateways). - Having worked with APIs before and writing (or generating) documentation for the front-end team to easily implement - Experience with Vue.js/React. - Proficient in source control environments like GIT. - Track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software projects within established timelines. - Proven experience maintaining and refactoring legacy codebases, balancing short-term needs with long-term sustainability. Preferred Qualifications: - Contributions to open-source PHP projects or Laravel community. - Experience with other PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Zend).
